Overview

Trinity is one of the earliest bicolor hybrids around, listed at 59 to 70 days, and it carries fully sugar-enhanced (se+) genetics from Crookham; some sources describe it as synergistic, blending se and supersweet genes on one ear. The result is creamy, fine-grained kernels with good sugar retention and none of the tough skin of straight sh2 corn. Ears are 7.5 to 8 inches with 14 to 16 rows, good tip fill and cover, on 5-foot plants with some tolerance to Stewart's wilt. It germinates in cooler soil than most supersweets, which makes it a natural first sowing in a short-season garden. Water steadily from tassel to ear fill.
