Overview
Jubilee is a yellow normal sugary (su) hybrid from Rogers Brothers dating to 1959, grown for decades in gardens and markets across a range that runs from the Gulf Coast up to the upper Midwest. Ears run a long 9 inches and carry 16 to 20 rows of bright golden kernels with a balanced, traditional sweet corn flavor on 7-foot plants. Disease resistance is stronger than in many older corns, with some tolerance to common rust and to Stewart's wilt, and holds in the field a little longer than typical su types. Maturity is listed at 81 to 87 days. Sow an inch deep in a block and keep it at least 400 feet from sh2 corn. In warm regions it works for both spring and fall crops.
