Overview
Cécile Brünner, often called the Sweetheart Rose, is a polyantha raised by Ducher in France around 1880-81. Its pale pink blooms are small, about 6.5 cm across, with a moderate scent. The plant stays at roughly 1 m (3 ft) high and wide, so it sits well near paths or in pots. Its parentage is thought to be R. multiflora crossed with a tea rose, though this is uncertain. It holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit and was added to the World Rose Hall of Fame in 1988.
