Overview
Fred Loads is a tall floribunda from Holmes, dating from 1968. It produces orange-red flowers with a strong perfume. Unlike most floribundas it grows large, to about 2 m (6.5 ft) high and 1.5 m (5 ft) wide, so place it at the back of a border or use it as a feature shrub. It was given the RHS Award of Garden Merit in 1993. Worth considering if you want bright, scented colour at eye level rather than a low bedding rose.
