Overview
Lambert Closse is a shrub rose bred by Felicitas J. Svejda and colleagues and protected by US plant patent PP9978, granted in 1997 to the Canadian government. The pink flowers are very full, with about 53 petals, and measure around 3 in (8 cm) across. Fragrance is slight. The plant stays compact at roughly 33 in (85 cm) tall and just as wide. The patent notes good resistance to black spot and powdery mildew. A tidy size makes it a fit for small beds, the front of a border, or a large container.
