Overview
Nadia is an early-season Italian-type hybrid on sturdy plants, bearing glossy dark purple fruit with a green calyx. Two habits set it apart: it sets fruit under cool conditions, and it keeps setting through the hottest part of summer when others pause. It also resists verticillium wilt. The oval fruit has tender, non-bitter flesh with few seeds. Start seed indoors 8 to 10 weeks before the last frost and transplant into rich, free-draining ground in full sun once nights are warm. Harvest while glossy and firm every few days, and stake to carry the heavy load.
