Overview
Webb's Wonderful is an English crisphead that the Webbs seed firm in Stourbridge brought out early in the twentieth century, and still a fixture on British allotments. The heads are very large and slow to form, with lightly savoyed, large-veined dark green leaves that stay sweet even as they age. It is also slow to bolt, so it stands in the garden longer than most icebergs. Sow direct and thin to full spacing so the heads have a long cool season to fill.
