Overview
Super Marzano is a Petoseed hybrid (1992) built on the San Marzano paste tomato model. The fruit is long and pear-shaped, around five inches and roughly 4 ounces, with green shoulders before ripening, and it matures in midseason. Plants are indeterminate and quite large, so plan on a tall stake or cage. The main reason to choose it over the heirloom is its resistance package, which covers bacterial speck, tobacco mosaic virus, nematodes, Fusarium race 1 and Verticillium race 1.
