Overview
Climbing Trip-L-Crop was released in 1937 by Burgess Seed and Plant Co. of Galesburg, Michigan, from a vigorous plant found in a field of Colossal and probably a potato-leaf Ponderosa strain. It lives up to the climbing name: the indeterminate, potato-leaved vines grow 8 to 15 feet and are very productive under good conditions, so plan a tall trellis or fence. Fruit is about 5 inches by 3 inches and suits slicing or canning. It is adapted wherever beefsteak types grow.
