Overview
Sweet Cluster is a Petoseed hybrid from 1998 designed for cluster harvest, the way greenhouse tomatoes are often sold on the vine. Each truss carries 6 to 8 glossy deep red fruits of about 4 ounces (100 to 120 g), round to slightly flattened, smooth and firm, with a good shelf life. Plants are listed as semi-determinate in some catalogs and indeterminate by the breeder, so plan for a stake either way. Resistance covers Fusarium wilt race 1, Verticillium wilt race 1, nematodes, tomato mosaic virus and Cladosporium leaf mold (Cf-5), the last being particularly useful under glass.
