Overview

Corinto is an early F1 hybrid from Seminis whose vigorous vines yield uniform slicers of a very dark green, 7 to 8 inches, with small seed cavities; many growers pick them at 5 to 6 inches as mini seedless cucumbers. Because it is parthenocarpic, fruit sets without bees, making it dependable in cool springs, high tunnels and greenhouses as well as open beds. Plants tolerate both cold snaps and summer heatwaves, and resist CMV, cucumber vein yellowing virus and powdery mildew. The thin, tender skin needs no peeling and the flavor stays mild and sweet even when fruit runs a little large. Sow 1 inch deep after frost, trellis, and pick every 2 to 3 days. About 48 days to maturity.
