Overview
Talladega is a dual-purpose hybrid whose very dark green fruit, about 8.5 inches long, is smooth with no ridges, few spines and hardly any pale belly, so it looks as good sliced as it does pickled. The plants set fruit continuously rather than in flushes, and they carry good resistance or tolerance to powdery and downy mildew, cucumber mosaic virus, watermelon mosaic virus 2, angular leaf spot, anthracnose race 2 and scab. At about 45 days it is among the faster cucumbers to bear.
