Overview
Sweet Dumpling is the single-serving squash: small teacup-shaped fruit about 4 to 5 inches across, flat-topped and around 1.5 pounds, with an ivory to cream skin striped dark green in the delicata pattern. The orange flesh is tender and very sweet. Medium-length vines are prolific, setting 8 to 10 fruit each. Sow after frost, let the fruit harden fully on the vine, and it keeps three to four months. Cut off the top, scoop the seeds and bake with a stuffing for a portion-sized meal.
