Overview
Damsel is a pink beefsteak F1 hybrid from independent breeder Jason Cavatorta (EarthWork Seeds), with seed produced by Nipomo Native Seeds. Fruit is globe shaped, 8 to 12 ounces, with pink skin. Plants are compact indeterminates that need little pruning, but give them a stake or cage. Disease resistance covers late blight, nematodes, and Verticillium wilt, which is unusual in a pink heirloom-style slicer. Ripens in about 73 to 75 days from transplant.
