Overview

Indy is a hybrid slicing cucumber chosen mainly for its very wide disease resistance. The fruit is smooth, straight and dark green, about 8.5 inches long and 2.25 inches wide. On the fungal and bacterial side it resists scab, angular leaf spot, anthracnose races 1 and 2 and both mildews; on the virus side, cucumber mosaic, zucchini yellow mosaic, watermelon mosaic strain 2 and papaya ringspot (WMV-1). That range makes it a sensible choice in gardens where virus problems spread by aphids have ruined past crops. About 59 days to harvest.
