Overview
Mariachi hybrid is a mild chile from Seminis and a 2006 AAS national winner, grown as much for its show as its flavor. The thick-walled, cone-shaped fruit is about 3.25 by 1.75 inches and 1.5 ounces, starting creamy white, blushing rosy, then turning red, so a plant carries several colors at once. At the white stage the flavor is delicate and fruity; heat is very low. Bushy, upright plants of 18 to 24 inches with a 16- to 20-inch spread need no staking and suit containers. Resistant to TMV strain P0. Direct sowing is not recommended. About 66 days from transplant.
