Overview
Midway is an old Petoseed bell pepper introduced in 1967, developed for the eastern and northern United States. It is very early, with dark green square fruit of about 4 1/2 inches ready around 67 days from transplant on an open-habit plant. It tolerates cucumber mosaic virus, and Staddon's Select is the variety it was measured against. Beyond the kitchen it has been used as an ornamental bedding plant, since the tidy plants and large fruit look good along a border. A reliable green bell for short-season gardens.
