Overview
Ring of Fire, sometimes written Ring-O-Fire, is an early, compact cayenne with pencil-thin, smooth fruit about 4 inches or 100 mm long and very pungent. Stokes lists it as open-pollinated at 60 days. Compared with a standard Long Red Cayenne, the plant is shorter and the fruit come earlier, which suits containers and short seasons. Fruit ripen from green through yellow to red and stay on the plant, so a loaded plant is decorative as well as useful.
