Overview
Tequila Sunrise is an open-pollinated pepper from Petoseed that works as both an ornamental and an edible sweet pepper. The plants are very small and compact, around 12 to 16 inches tall and about a foot wide, and hold their fruit upright so the color show is easy to see. Each fruit is carrot-shaped, thin-skinned, roughly 4 to 5 inches long and an inch across at the shoulder, ripening from deep green through to a golden orange. It was released in 1979 and adapts to a wide range of conditions. Green fruit appears around 60 days after transplanting. A good choice for a sunny patio pot where you want something pretty that you can also eat.
