Overview
Moskvich is a Russian heirloom bred for cool conditions, often the first main-season tomato to ripen in a northern garden. Fruit is a smooth globe of four to six ounces with a small stem scar, deep red, with rich flavor. Vines are indeterminate and keep growing all season, so give them a tall stake or cage and prune suckers for airflow. It tolerates cool nights, so it can go out a little earlier than most. Water at the base and pick as the fruit colors to keep new sets coming.
