Overview
Georgia Streak is a Southern heirloom in the yellow-and-red bicolor beefsteak group alongside Pineapple and Hillbilly. Large golden fruit is marbled with red on the skin and through the flesh, and a red core shows at the blossom end, so slices look as showy as the outside. The flavor is sweet and low in acid, best fresh rather than canned. Indeterminate vines are vigorous, so stake or cage early, and in hot regions plant as soon as the weather allows because fruit set suffers in peak summer heat. Seed saves true.
