Overview
Cherry Bomb (PS208488), a Petoseed F1 from breeder Ken Owens, is the hot cherry pepper: round to heart-shaped, thick-walled fruit about 38 mm across, green at 62 days and ripening to a hot cherry red, with roughly 20 percent less heat than a jalapeno. It is very early and high yielding on compact plants, and resists tobacco mosaic virus. Start seed 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost and transplant into full sun. The round shape is ideal for stuffing and for Italian-style pickling in oil and vinegar; it also does well in containers.
