Overview
Paprika Supreme is a Petoseed hybrid from 1994 in the New Mexican paprika mold, valued for ripening 10 to 14 days ahead of standard paprika varieties with noticeably higher yields. Vigorous tall plants carry tapered, pointed pods 6 to 8 inches (178 mm) long and about 1 1/2 inches wide, flat and thin-walled, green at 55 days from transplant and finishing a bright, intense red. Flavor is mild with a little heat concentrated in the ribs. It resists tobacco mosaic virus; PapriQueen is the comparable variety. Thin walls dry fast, so this is a good pepper for stringing, drying and grinding at home.
