Overview
Medusa is a compact ornamental chili bred by Marlin Edwards for PanAmerican Seeds. Plants top out around 6 to 8 inches tall and spread 8 to 10 inches, yet each one can hold 40 or 50 slender, slightly twisted fruit at once, pointing upward like the snakes of its namesake. The pods start ivory-white and pass through yellow and orange before finishing bright red, so several colors show together. Heat is very low, around 1,000 Scoville units, making it a safe choice near children and a good windowsill or border plant.
