Overview
Chilly Chili is the ornamental pepper to choose where small hands might grab a fruit: it looks like a hot chili but has no pungency at all. A 2002 All-America Selections winner bred by Marvin Edwards for PanAmerican Seeds, it forms plants roughly 9 to 12 inches tall and about 14 inches wide, covered with 2- to 2.5-inch blunt-tipped pods that go from greenish through yellow and orange to deep red. It tolerates heat very well, so it keeps its looks in summer beds and pots.
