Overview
Revolution is a bell pepper hybrid built around an unusually broad disease package. It resists bacterial leaf spot races 1, 2, 3 and 5 and has intermediate resistance to cucumber mosaic virus and Phytophthora, which makes it a strong choice in hot, humid, rainy regions such as the Gulf South where those problems ruin lesser bells. The upright plants set fruit in a concentrated flush: square, very firm, dark green bells about 4 1/2 inches that ripen to dark red and sweeten if left on the plant. Maturity is around 75 days. Start seed indoors 8 to 10 weeks ahead, and plant after the last frost into rich ground that drains freely, in full sun; good drainage matters most where Phytophthora is a risk.
